Keyboard shortcuts and command palette

The desktop app and the web library share the same keyboard layer. Press ? at any time to see the list of shortcuts in the app.

Command palette

Press Ctrl+K to open the command palette. It works everywhere, even while you’re typing in a text field. In the desktop app you can also click the search button in the title bar; in the web library, click Search or run a command at the top of the sidebar.

Type to filter. Every word you type must appear in the command’s name, in any order. Use ↑ and ↓ to move, Enter to run, and Esc to close.

The palette lists these groups:

Group	Commands
Go to	Every page in the sidebar you have access to, for example Cloud Library, Transfers or Settings.
Page	Actions for the page you’re on (see below).
App	Toggle light/dark theme, Keyboard shortcuts and Toggle sidebar.
Assets	When you type two or more characters, the palette also looks up props by name and lists up to eight matches. Pick one to open it.

Only Ctrl+K works while you’re typing in a field; the other shortcuts are ignored there, so they never interrupt a search or a comment. / and Ctrl+F work on pages that have a search box: the Cloud Library, the Local Library and Checkouts.

In the web library on a Mac, use Cmd in place of Ctrl for Cmd+K, Cmd+F and Cmd+[ / Cmd+].
