Sign in from the editor
The editor signs in with a short code you approve in your browser, so there is no token to copy. The issued token is saved in Windows Credential Manager, never in the project’s config files, and the editor stays signed in across restarts.
Sign in with your browser
Section titled “Sign in with your browser”You can start sign-in from three places. They all run the same flow:
- The Sign in with browser button on the Sign in to Prophouse screen of the Prophouse or Prophouse Browser panel.
- The Sign in with browser button in the Account section of Edit → Editor Preferences → Plugins → Prophouse.
- The Sign in with browser link on the
Connect this editor to Prophouse to pull assets.notification that appears a few seconds after launch while the editor is signed out.
-
Click Sign in with browser. A notification reads
Prophouse: opening your browser to sign in…and your browser opens the approval page. -
The notification then shows
Approve code <code> in your browser — waiting.... Check that the code in the browser matches, and approve the request. It is listed asUnreal Editor on <your computer name>. -
Return to the editor. The notification changes to
Signed in — token saved to Windows Credential Manager.and the panels load.
If you deny the request in the browser, or wait until the code expires, the notification says so and you can start again.
Sign-in uses the Server URL setting, which defaults to https://api.prophouse.dev. Leave it as it is.
Check the connection
Section titled “Check the connection”The Prophouse panel header shows a dot and a short status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Connected | Signed in and the server answered. |
| Checking… | The editor is still probing the server. |
| Session expired | The server rejected the saved token. Sign in again. |
| Unreachable | The server did not respond. Check your network and the Server URL setting. |
Hover the status to see the server URL and this project’s key. The Account section of the settings page shows the same state in words, for example Signed in and connected. or Session expired — sign in again.
Sign out
Section titled “Sign out”Click Sign out in the Account section of Editor Preferences → Plugins → Prophouse. This removes the token from the editor and from Windows Credential Manager. To revoke the sign-in on the server as well, remove it from the Prophouse web app.
Use an API key instead
Section titled “Use an API key instead”For a machine where you cannot use a browser, you can paste a key by hand:
-
Create a key on the API keys page of your dashboard at
https://app.prophouse.dev/keys. Keys look likeph_live_xxxxxxxxxxxx. -
In Editor Preferences → Plugins → Prophouse → Server, paste it into API Token.
The field is a password field. The value is written to Windows Credential Manager, not to config.
